The Alcovisor Jupiter breathalyzer is the first hand held fuel cell alcohol detector with 3.2" Touch Screen and printer combined together. The Alcovisor Jupiter incorporates powerful functions including: flow rate and blow time adjustment, number of print copies, ability to key in all information the user needs, step by step operating indication and built-in GPS*. It uses a long term stability platinum electrochemical sensor (the standard in police issued breath testers) to measure the concentration of alcohol from the sample of the expired breath from a human subject. If alcohol is present, a corresponding voltage is generated from the fuel cell, which is proportional to the alcohol content of the sample provided by a human subject. This voltage is then sent to the CPU and converted to a subject’s BAC which is then displayed. Having a high specificity to alcohol, the fuel cell is not influenced by acetone or other breath substances. The long term stability of the sensor means you can count on accurate results year after year**.
The tester offers both passive and direct sampling.
The Alvovisor Jupiter breatalyzer has a biuld-in thermal printer allowing for hard copy printing of test results when breath sample evidence is required. Test results can be printed immediately to the printer or from the memory at a later time. The printer function provides the time and dates of alcohol tests, the alcohol concentration (BrAC), names, location, subject, driver license number (if required), breath test operator, model number, and serial number of the meter.
The Alcovisor Jupiter breathalyzer is powered by a high-capacity lithium battery. The battery is located behind the sliding cover on the back of the device. The level of power left in the battery is indicated on the screen. The tester can be powered by a 12VDC cigarette plug adapter or AC 6 volt adapter, too.
A hard plastic case is included for storing the device and accessories for easy transport. Storage temperature range is -25°C to 70°C, storage humidity is 15% to 95%.
